Terroir & Wines

The growing and winemaking processes are carried out in full respect of the natural environment.

We nourish the soil rather than the vines. Harvesting of ripe grapes is done by hand. We make successive passes among the vines to select grapes by grade.

The Mediterannean micro-climate of the Ahn Palmberg nature reserve is ideal for rare orchids and boxwood. One of the best soils in Luxembourg produces Rieslings with pleasant mineral flavors that develop their aromas over many years, from five to ten years and more.

The Göllebour micro terraces are aligned parallel with the Moselle river. This optimizes exposure of the grapes to the sun and helps aerate them in mid-summer.

The Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer should be savored young, within five years.

Spectacular wines originate on the imposing Felsberg hill, at Wintrange. It is here, in these deep soils, where gypsum and marl combine to produce our range of highly complex and nobly aged wines.
